Zero PCB
Zero PCB, also referred to as perfboard or DOT PCB, is a type of versatile printed circuit board (PCB). It consists of a thin and rigid copper sheet that has pre-drilled holes at standard intervals arranged in a grid format, with a spacing of 2.54mm (0.1-inch) between each hole.
Zero PCB is a term that refers to a type of printed circuit board (PCB) design that has no copper traces or other conductive elements on its surface. Instead, it consists of only drilled holes and pads that allow electronic components to be mounted onto the board.
The purpose of a zero PCB is to provide a non-conductive base onto which electronic components can be mounted without the need for soldering or other traditional methods of attachment. This makes it particularly useful for prototyping and testing purposes, as components can be easily swapped in and out of the board as needed.
Zero PCBs are also used in situations where it is desirable to have a completely flat surface without any protruding elements, such as in certain types of sensors or other electronic devices where space is at a premium. Additionally, zero PCBs are often used in combination with flexible circuits to create complex assemblies that can bend or flex without damaging the electrical connections.
